As you can see from the picture, they match but aren't identical, which I think is a nice touch. These bookends are VERY heavy, and thus feel very sturdy. They're certainly well-suited to their book-stopping duty.However, I have one serious complaint: the color of this item does not match the color in the picture. The picture shows warm, coppery bookends. In fact, the bookends I received are almost entirely black, with just a few small patches of gold (rather than copper). Because these bookends are so dark, you can't really see some of the details that are molded into them, which is too bad. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Shipping issues and item not received as described *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2018* First set showed up broken due to poor packaging. The second set showed up with no bronze/gold on them at all. They were basically black.I had to go buy some gold paint to do it my self. not sure these are worth the price with the issues i have had.The picture: the one on the left is what they both looked like prior to paint. What you should know before you buy these is that Anecdotal Aardvark gave me some of the best customer service I've ever received. When the package arrived broken, AA promptly shipped another set without asking for verification or for me to return the damaged items. When one of these two owls also arrived damaged, they let me choose whether I wanted a refund or a replacement for the damaged, pointy headed owl. When I asked for another set of bookends, they again promptly shipped it with no questions asked.
