So when I was in cooking the pepper soup which I added goat and kale to, she looked at me and said that's not what she remembers. I said just give it a chance. Unbeknownst to me, while I was away from the pot she dropped some tomato paste in it to try to make it closer to what she knows. That being said, after simmering for a couple hours (because I didn't pressure cook the goat), and resting overnight ( I cooked it pretty late), She absolutely loved it!! She thinks it may be closer to the Ghanaian version of pepper soup than the Nigerian version she's used to, but nevertheless she really enjoyed it. Thank you for this offering.
