It will provide the user with the assurance that the magazine will not hang-up on the bottom rear of the magazine well by providing a smooth, rounded surface to guide magazines into place. The cavity on the backside of the handle (pistol grip), just behind the magazine well, is hollow and open at both the top and bottom. I bought a second one just in case I was shipped the wrong one the first time. My Gen 2 is about 3/8" not including the nub stopper and the one sent that they have listed will fit is 1/2".I gave this 5 stars not to ruin the rating on these plugs because they are good quality. Solid plastic, good image and perfectly centered. I do wish I could get this plug for mine though. I was on the fence because of the picture above, but I thought "what the hey, might as well get it." Man was I pleasantly surprised when I got it. The piece itself is actually the same black color as a glock, and the image is centered and is almost a grey color, very visible, very easy to read. Just takes a good smack to the magwell to pop it in and then you're good to go and have a customized gun that let's people know what you think. I also reccomend it to keep all that gunk out of internal components, especially if you plan to carry. The engraved emblem and text are easily read and I noticed no flaws in the one I recieved.
