Amazing stuff that works as advertised!
I used this to clean serious built up carbon off of my 10yr old copper clad pots and pans. The product worked wonderfully but I did have to apply it multiple times to get through the build up. My pots and pans were so bad that I could not even get it off with a nylon drill attachment! The product is just like a paint stripper but meant for breaking down carbon. I used a natural paint brush to apply it. Let it sit for a few hours then washed it off in the utility sink. WEAR HEAVY DUTY DISHWASHING GLOVES TO PROTECT YOUR HANDS! This will burn skin. I also used it on a griddle that was about 20yrs old and that came out great as well. I followed up washing the copper with bar keepers friend soft scrub. Shiny and just like new. Not a quick process but the CarbonOff is really the only way to get serious gunk off pans. I had tried it all.

It works as advertised
This stuff is super-powerful and smelly - but it works. Cleans our pans and our stovetop - with the kitchen exhaust fan running. Started off years ago using the spray cans - but they have problems with clogging after initial use. Now use this liquid tin & dedicate a cheap bristle brush to applying it. I used this to restore a Wagner cast-iron fry pan inherited from my grandmother purchased in the 1930's that was so crusted with carbon you could not read the info on the bottom. After two rounds the pan was perfectly clean. Re-seasoned it & have been using it for 8 years now.

This product is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to use!
This product does what it says it does! I was very happy with the results. I used it on my industrial panini machine I bought second hand and had not been cleaned in years. I foolishly didn’t read the safety instructions on the bottle so I ran into some problems in the beginning. I have used industrial degreasers in the past without protective gear (though it suggests it on the bottle) and I was fine. This product is much much harsher. I first used vinyl disposable gloves and the chemical burned right through them. I got a tiny amount on my skin and it was very painful. It left a red mark on my arm for 3 days. Next I tried just rubber gloves which was fine. I also found the smell to be overwhelming so I had to wear a mask and goggles so the product wouldn’t get onto my face when I did some light scrubbing. Overall, the product worked well. You can even hear it breaking down the carbon. Just read the safety precautions on the bottle and you’re all good!

Excellent Product
I bought this product a few months ago, but just haven't had the time to use it. Today I brought it up from the basement and took out my copper pans to get to work. As someone else mentioned, the inner lid is EXTREMELY difficult to remove! It says on the top, "Cut out lid". It is NOT foil and I could not remove it with a knife, so I opted for a wood chisel with a thin edge. I held it away from my face and gently pried up on the edge....it exploded! A fine spray shot out and landed on my bare arms and a small amount on my face! Luckily, I was wearing glasses so none got into my eyes. BURNS LIKE CAUSTIC SODA!!!! I washed off the acid from my skin with cold water and no further treatment was needed, but I cannot express enough: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF PETS AND CHILDREN! I have worked with caustic chemicals for more than 40 years...everything from caustic soda, paint removers, muriatic acid, oxalic acid, etc...never had any of these explode when opened. Yes, it works GREAT. Highly recommend using it outdoors.

Powerful stuff
I had burnt plastic on my trucks wheels. I tried other products to remove the damage. Nothing worked.....I purchased Carbon Off and applied it to the plastic woth a paint brush. Suddenly, I saw the plastic loosen up, after 15 to 20 minutes it resolved the plastic, to the point where I just rinsed it off, and the job was done......very impressed with this product......caution, protect your hands and face......powerful stuff, also be careful when you first open the can. The inner lid flies off under pressure.

Expected Better Performance
Description and images suggest that built up carbon effortlessly disappears from cooking pots and pans. The product is applied and used similar to paint stripper: paint it on, let sit overnight, then scrape away. Don’t scrub. Previously, I had used oven cleaner and a variety of scouring powders (Ajax, Comet, Bar Keeper’s Friend, etc.), along with scrubbing pads. I still had to use these after using CarbonOff to get the pans I tried completely clean. Does it work better in certain situations? I will try it some more. But it is pricey, and requires a lot of caution in handling and use, for something that may only work as well as more common, and less expensive products.

Didn't work
Hi, I'm sorry but I followed the instructions exactly and used on my SS bbq grates. I put in a large tin tray and lathered the product on with a paint brush. I used the entire can of product on 3 grates and let it sit and soak for 5 hours. afterwards I not only tried scrubbing the grates I also used a 3500psi powerwasher to see if that would help get the black staining off my grates. There is no "build-up" of food pieces on the grates, however they are still black in the central area where we use the grill most often. The advertising picture that shows the cooking pan going from black back to shiny steel is misleading unfortunately.

Careful with this, it has its uses but is not game changing.
I use this on the time and sides on my popcorn kettle. It works well but it needs a good amount of time to be effective for thicker carbon build up. The only thing I don't like about using this is the smell and its ability to cause chemical burns. Follow the instructions. Do not use nitrile gloves as it will make them come apart in seconds (I know this from trying since I didn't have any rubber gloves). This will not clean everything off. It a great aide, but muscle and elbow grease is always to top way to clean buildup. I recommend a wire brush for hard to reach spots. For the rest of the popcorn machine I use Nu-View concession cleaner.
