Way better than the stock controller especially love the variable throttle. Does get a little warm but not too warm. Then I decided to upgrade the motor from 250watt to 350watt for more power and speed and controller takes that quite well too. Does get warmer than before but not hot at all. Please note that this 36v 800watt controller is NOT waterproof due to no silicone around it so make sure it's in a dry enclosure to prevent damage to the controller. I had to do some significant soldering to get it to be plug n play for the bike. I didn't want anything to be hard wired. Not a single plug fit so I had to change them all out. The throttle was the only tricky part since the original is 4 prong and this one was 3. Other than the significant alteration for it to work, it runs like a charm.
