I live up in the northern U.S. Rockies and off-road a lot in the deserts across the southwest U.S. The arid terrain, UV exposure, and alternating deep cold and heat kept decomposing other wiring I have tried, especially on the roof rack lights and accessories. The quality of this wire is noticeably better than other automotive wiring I have used! Heavy duty outer jacket. The insulation on the inner wire is robust as well. Despite the heavy duty coverings, the wire lays out well. I am questioning the gauge on some of my prior wires as the strands on this Ancor wire seem beefier than the same grade of the auto wire used previously.
