(& it's harder to conjugate the verbs). Some people do prefer learning it but I don't.Back to this book: if emphasizes romanization (English spelling of Korean words) at IMO the expense of learning the Korean spelling. (Romanization is fine in moderation in my opinion but that was bad ).It also assumes too much for example within a couple pages of learning the character it says to "write the missing characters & the batchim" without explaining what is a batchim (characters on the bottom of a syllable) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great resource for Korean learners *by S***M on Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2018* I bought this workbook to help my Korean-American friend who's taking Korean classes at school but wanted a Korean drill book, and it's been a tremendous help (we're half-way through the book) in her Korean study!The best part is its wide spectrum of questions, such as alphabet puzzles and word-picture matching questions, and it adds fun to what might be an arduous, boring task. Although it's not a text book that teaches the bascis of Korean grammar from A to Z, they put some effort in briefly explaining the grammatical part of the study.Of course, you would need a textbook to learn it in depth - this workbook does a nice job of complementing what you learn from a textbook. One word of caution though - for some of the questions, especially for reading questions, you will be expected to open up a Korean dictionary because it doesn't have English translation, which I believe is deliberaterly designed so, to help us learn the vocabulary on our own.My one suggestion for the next edition of the book will be adding some coverage on conversations and expressions, maybe with some audio support.
