Good flavor and an EXCELLENT alternative to "traditional" K-cups
I am a coffee "aficionado" (read: addict) and I heartily recommend this product. I adore my Keurig - its convenience, the freshness of the cup, and, yeah, convenience are extremely important to me, but I hate how dang WASTEFUL and EXPENSIVE the K-cups are, and all the plastic most companies use when crafting them makes me a bit leery. Enter San Francisco Bay Coffee OneCup for Keurig K-Cup Brewers, Breakfast Blend. Their "coffee tea-bags" ARE a bit stronger in both flavor and body than I had anticipated (vaguely reminiscent of that "burnt Starbucks" aftertaste that I can't stand) but this is easily forgivable as I tend to prefer a "light" roast, and is very easily tolerable - I simply use a bit more milk and sweetener in my cup. There IS a wee bit of dark settlement sometimes left in the bottom of your cup, but hey, all you have to do to avoid that is just don't swirl your cup and you'll be fine. I love that the packaging is not only minimal (read: less annoying to deal with), but much less harmful for the environment AND my body (since certain kinds of plastics tend to leach estrogen compounds: "Most plastic products, from sippy cups to food wraps, can release chemicals that act like the sex hormone estrogen, according to a in Environmental Health Perspective" from the article "Study: Most Plastics Leach Hormone-Like Chemicals" found on the NPR website if you care to look.) So, although I'd prefer a slightly more "delicate" (less "burnt Starbuck-y") flavor, I have to say: great taste + less waste + less plastic + lower price = HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I will definitely be buying more from this company...*especially if they could mimic the strong-but-clean flavors of Gevalia's Light Roast and, well, the strong-but-clean flavors of their Stockholm and Royal Vinter (yes: Vinter, and I brew it a bit on the weaker side b/c that really IS a strong-medium blend/roast) roasts, too...and maybe Folgers Gourmet Selections Classic Roast...yeah...I love my coffee... *Part of all that MAY have been an understated hint to the San Francisco Bay Coffee company...

Breakfast Blennd is good coffee and more earth friendly
I was initially shocked when I initially opened my parcel and found these very cool new San Francisco Bay Coffee One Cup for Keurig K-Cup Brewers, Breakfast Blend, 80-Count. First this is a great value at $33.00 including free shipping with my Prime Account. For those of you who have not tried Prime membership it pays for itself in between 60-90 days with moderate use and I believe Amazon still offers a 30 day free trial which is worth looking at to experience the benefits. I've had my membership for 3 years and its a great value! Enough for the the Amazon commercial back to the coffee. Price per cup is the lowest I have found anywhere at just under 42 cents. The normal K-cups are all plastic while these have a plastic ring with a fiber filter bag. Its not 100% recyclable but its a big step forward as the filter will break down quickly and the coffee grounds will then fall out allowing those to decompose as well. That leaves a small plastic ring (which looks recyclable) and foil top left. To assist to keep your coffee fresh you receive a reusable lightweight recyclable plastic tub with an airtight lid that holds about 8 K-cups for peak freshness. In addition each 8 K-Cups is sealed in a vented recyclable bag inside the box so you open one and put them in the storage tub after. Nice touch. This is a lively coffee with a velvet like finish, its gives me an average caffeine buzz, please note I am not big coffee drinker, more a 1-2 good cups a day guy and I like to have variety, thus my move to a Keurig system (which I love and have spread this to 6 others in my family as well as many at my office). This is a good coffee with nice flavor and I also like the fact its a little more recyclable and a good value. A++++

5-stars! Can't beat the price and quality of this coffee!
Howdy! I've bought many orders of the San Fran Bay Breakfast Blend coffee and I must say that I have ZERO complaints. No bugs (as described by other ads) and I personally think the coffee is quite good. For the price, you really can't beat 80 k-cups for only $29 or $27.55 if you select the subscription option. This particular blend is perfect as it's not weak, but its strong enough for me as I enjoy a bold flavor coffee without that burnt/French roast flavor. To give you an idea of their coffee flavor "strength", this Breakfast Blend is stronger than any of the Green Mountain offerings (except the French Roast) but slightly less bold than a Newman's Own "Medium Roast Coffee Extra Bold". Hopefully that will give you an idea of where this coffee stands on a strength scale. As others have mentioned, the big difference is in the k-cups. They're not your standard completely-enveloped-in-plastic design, there is a top and the bottom is an open filter. Still, not a problem as each box includes a small container to keep your k-cups fresh. There are about 10 sealed bags per box, each bag contains 8 k-cups. Once I open a bag, I throw the other 7 unused k-cups in my plastic "stay fresh" container. Work well and there's an AMAZINGLY enjoyable coffee aroma that fills my office whenever I open the stay fresh container. Tasty and perfect for coffee time. I like it and I think these less wasteful containers are a better deal than anything at Costco or other big warehouse stores. I like it so much that my coworkers and regularly order (via the Amazon sub service) these k-cups every 2 months. Good stuff and even if you're not sure, it's a small cost to try something new. BTW, of all the coffee we've ordered from San Fran Bay, none of our orders have ever contains bugs or stale coffee.

Great coffee when the pod doesn't blow out
Echoing a few of the other sub-5 star reviews, I have also recently had an uptick in the frequency of pod blowouts. The first few boxes since I started my subscription for these towards the end of last year had no issues, but since the start of the year, it's gotten worse and worse. Initially it was maybe 1 in 10 that would burst, but in the last couple boxes, it's been closer to 1 in 5. Same machine (Ninja), same water, same settings; growing frustration with the leakage and general durability. I'm not sure if it's a glue problem, or the simple fact that the rim is only a couple millimeters wide, so it barely makes contact with the machine, especially if you don't center it just right. I know we're trying to reduce the environmental impact of the materials here, and the biodegradable aspect of these is exactly why I get them, but I think the rim needs at least another mm or two so that it can seat into the machine more securely. That all said, the coffee itself is excellent in the favor profile - bold enough to be pleasant to black drinkers like myself, while balanced enough to come through with cream added for the cream drinkers in my house. All in all a great product, but if the pod durability issue persists much longer, I may have to just go back to grinding my own beans. The convenience of these pods is largely defeated by having to spend 10-15 minutes cleaning blown out grounds from my machine every few cups.

Solid Cup of Coffee!
This alternative to the traditional plastic K-Cup caught my eye immediately because of the price. I have been buying the basic Ks from Amazon for years, always pretty much around the same price, and have been eager to see the drop in prices once Green Mountain's patent expires on the technology. This company found a unique way of getting around the patent with these filter-exposed cups. To our benefit, this brand sells more for less, and that to me was worth the try. I chose the Breakfast Blend because I normally drink the Coffee People Donut Shop, which I too love, and I thought this would be the closest match. This turned out to be true, both are smooth and not too strong or robust. Both have good flavor without being over the top. As for the style of the cup, as all others have said, it does not have the plastic canister look, but rather just the filter, which I personally like. Unlike the traditional cups, you get a whiff of coffee just before you put it in the machine, which is a nice tease. I just filled up a Ziplock bag to keep them fresh and it's easy enough. I'm also keeping the spent cups to use for fertilizer, just cut off the top, dry out the grounds and pour them around your garden. Overall I'd highly recommend this, the price is great and the coffee is very good. If you are a Coffee People Donut Shop fan like me, you'll enjoy this Breakfast Blend. If you prefer jet fuel, this will not appeal to you.

Great coffee, great value
My favorite coffee pods. They brew a delightfully strong cup of coffee with a great flavor to them. Much less watery then so many of the plastic coffee pods with the huge cups and only a tiny bit of coffee inside. These pods are much more like a single serving of coffee wrapped in a coffee filter. Have a monthly subscription for an 80ct box as my wife an I both have at least one cup made with them each morning to start our day.

We're fans
We enjoy the taste of those coffee. It smells great, is dark in color, and great strength. It uses not watery or bitter. My husband prefers the pods to the cups locally I can only finds the pods in a grocery store brand, which frequently buy store brand items over name brand, but this flavor is much better.

Good and bad
Each hermetically sealed bag contains 8 pods. It is nice to smell the coffee aroma when the bag is opened -- something that does not happen with regular K-cups. The pod or cup, or whatever it is called, works in Keurig but it is not a K-cup. The bottom is just a filter, so it is lower-cost and less waste. This box of 80 pods came with a clear container (holds about 12) with a lid. This opening the plastic bag and putting them into another container is sort of defeating the convenience of K-cup, though. The filter bottom makes the coffee drip directly into the K-cup holder and dribbles fast, and not through the normal puncture hole in a controlled manner. This causes more splashing, depending on the serving cup/mug size. Another issues is that raising the handle immediately after brewing causes coffee to leak from the top; you need to wait a little for it to drain (much longer than a real K-cup). Yep, it takes longer to drain even though it seems to comes out faster. I forget if I am using this pod or regular K-cup, so I am always making a mess by raising the lever too quickly. This is on Keurig OfficePRO Premier (better than K45 and K65 I had), by the way. The biggest problem is when other drinks are brewed afterwards. Because the whole holder was filled with coffee, the next drink (like tea) has coffee taste. So, the holder has to be rinsed after using this pseudo K-cup. With regular K-cup, the coffee flows through the puncture pin and the holder stays relatively clean. This should not be a problem for those who only drink this coffee. As for the coffee itself, I personally like it. It seems stronger than bold dark roast, but that may be because I am smelling the aroma. The aroma does make it seem more flavorful.
