Metamorphic chairs usually cost a good bit more. Construction was mostly straightforward, although I was applying wood glue to the joints as well as the supplied screws, so it took a little longer than it might have done. Mostly the pre-cut and drilled parts were accurate. I did have to chisel a very slight rebate for the hinges, where the timber had not quite lined up. The hook-and-eye affair to lock the chair position is made out of paper-thin brass which is like;ly to fail, but this could easily be replaced with another hook-and-eye. I aim to fill the screw holes with wood filler, which will improve the finish.
