Review: (Update: Fixed it.) Fry escaped 100% of the time - Update: The nylon worked! I put a knee high type nylon around the box and that did keep the fry in and they cannot escape. It's a quick, easy, and inexpensive fix. Disappointed when we waited 2 days to put the fry inside and they still were too small and escaped. I tried about 3 or 4 times to place fry inside and they escaped 100% of the time. It was smaller than expected but that's okay I suppose for my use. The suction cups work very well. Unfortunately the slits are a little too big apparently. I did read from another review to try pantyhose so I will try that tomorrow. I currently have a small Tupperware container inside the hatchery until I figure something out since the suction cups work very well. I'm glad I saw that suggestion and will try to put the hatchery inside pantyhose to see if that will stop them from escaping while still allowing water through.

**Q: Does this share water with the main tank?**
A: Yes  it goes on the inside of tank. I leave the top of mine about 1/4 inch above the water level in main tank & slide the lid to one side so I don't have to take it on & off to feed the baby fish & so they don't get out.  I'm on my 3rd set of baby fish . The suction cups hold really well but you can slide it up & down a  little bit if you need to  & it stays in place.

**Q: Can I use the medium or large to breed my zebra danios and tetras fish?**
A: I think you probably could if she's comfortable laying eggs in there. My zebra is getting ready to drop her eggs soon and I'm trying to get her to do it in one of these now. I got the large and there's a pretty decent amount of room in there for my pair to swim around and hang out.

**Q: Can you use it without the divider once the mom is removed? I am looking for a larger plastic in-tank cage to let my platy babies grow.**
A: of course you can, it is 5.2*2.7*2.9", you need to keep an eye on the babies, once some grow up, you need to remove it out of this breeding box in case it is too crowd.

**Q: Can I remove the isolation board (the one that stands vertically on the inside)?**
A: Yes it is removable

Small is perfect for endlers and small guppy’s, if the divider is out it’s good for larger guppy’s too

Disappointed when we waited 2 days to put the fry inside and they still were too small and escaped. I tried about 3 or 4 times to place fry inside and they escaped 100% of the time. It was smaller than expected but that's okay I suppose for my use. The suction cups work very well. Unfortunately the slits are a little too big apparently. Its ok. It works. The suction cups will not let go. The lid is a pain to stay on. Really had to be put on just right. It floats but you still have to be very careful not to let it go under.
