**Q: Are these poi made in Hawaii?**
A: Not sure.  But if you have a beginner,  do not buy these.  They are very hard and hurt if you get hit with them. I bought these,  but then paid someone else to make a set that's softer for my 7 year old.  These were a waste.

**Q: What is the material used in the product?**
A: Materials used are yarn and spongy material wrapped in plastic then wrapped with yarn. If you hit yourself with them they just bounce off of you.

**Q: Where are these poi made?**
A: Phillipines, China.

I would definitely say these are only for costume purposes. If someone were to use these for an actual performance, I would say right off the bat they are not really made very well and they are too hard. Ones that you would buy from a Hula instrument store are made much more softer. Speaking from a Hula mom‘s perspective I definitely do not recommend these for an actual performance or practice.
