Effective & easy to apply
This works. I used it with watering can this time and a bucket as easier to work out area needed. Natural but super-effective. Theyve all gone.

Effective, though follow the instructions
Followed the instructions and a moderate leather jacket problem was resolved in two doses over four weeks at double strength in April. So far it's been successful and I'll use it again in September.

Hopeful it does work
I would like to think this works, was a bit late in the year using,so thought it wouldn’t work, but having said that this spring little evidence of leather jackets , think I will give it another go this autumn because in the past I do get leather jackets so I reckon it does work

It's a process, not a miracle – but it 100% works if you do it right.
My lawn was an absolute state. It was yellow, patchy, and every morning it looked like a flock of crows had held a festival on it – just ripped to shreds. After digging up a patch, I found it was riddled with leatherjackets. I was hesitant to use a biological treatment, as it sounds complicated, but I'm so glad I did. This isn't a "spray and forget" chemical, it's a living product, and you have to follow the instructions to the letter. Here are the vital tips that made it work for me: Timing is EVERYTHING: I applied this in early October. You must apply it when the soil is warm enough (above 10°C) and when the leatherjackets are small and active (usually Aug-Oct). Applying it in spring is less effective as the grubs are too big. It's Alive: As soon as it arrives, get it in the fridge. It has a short shelf life. Do not buy it "for later". Application Day: This is the most important part. The nematodes (which look like a fine, clay-like paste) need water to travel through the soil. You CANNOT apply this to a dry lawn. I waited for a week of miserable, rainy weather, which was perfect. How I Did It: I used a standard watering can with a coarse rose (a fine one will block). I mixed the whole packet into a bucket of water first to create a "stock" solution, stirring it well. Then, I'd add a bit of that stock to my watering can, top it up with more water, stir again, and apply to one section of the lawn. Repeat until the lawn is covered. You must keep stirring to stop the nematodes from settling at the bottom. Aftercare: Keep the lawn damp for at least two weeks after application. My rainy weather solved this for me. The Result: It is NOT an overnight fix. For the first two weeks, nothing changed. Then, gradually, I noticed there were fewer and fewer birds attacking the lawn. Now, fast forward several months, the lawn is recovering beautifully. The patches are filling in and I've had zero new damage.
