The best thing about it is how lightweight it is. It's not flimsy. The material might not weigh much but it's fairly solid and not as fragile as one might think. This medallion is going in my living with an antique bronze chandelier. I painted it a warm coral color to match the room's trim and then added touches of antique gold Rub n Buff to give it some dimension. The paint had a primer included and the medallion covered very well with two coats. The shape is beautiful and classy, not overly fussy or too fancy. Just fancy enough. And it's easy to put in place on the ceiling with liquid nails.
