## Description

Short stories remain the most interesting form of story telling over the centuries. Many of the greatest writers to have lived, started with short stories, before embarking on the journey of writing something longer. This book is an attempt to handpick the greatest works in short story writing over the years from India, including some of the most recognizable names from the land of storytelling. Stories from all slices of life, which will make you laugh, cry, smile or sulk. Including writers like Premchand, Rabindranath Tagore, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay and the Ramayana.

Review: Great book with a room for proofreading - There are a lot of typos in the print but I overlooked it simply because the stories are far too interesting to read. But still the publisher needs to keep that in mind. Some stories I have read and some I haven't. Reading them I realised that times were way simpler then. We have forgotten or should I say let go off the habit of engaging with directly with people. Speaking directly with someone is more enriching than texting. I just read Kabuliwala today and I was taken down memory lane when I read it in school. Again, a request to the publishers: please proof read the book again.
Review: Worth the collectibles. - such a great collection of moving stories, just so that we fall in love, tears, and laughter a few pages apart. I'm glad that i believed my instincts. the book is the doorway to bigger decisions in following a writer's work further. one of the best collections of stories available. though i dont remember the rate of course, i do remember it was cheap enough so that i chose it! anyway, to those who are looking forward to own I, a BIG F A T yes. happy reading =)
