Got results back 11 days after mailing off. This told me why I felt exhausted, had severe PMS & infertility. And spurred me to get healthy for more than just weight loss!There are 4 tubes to spit in at specific times of the day (2 or more tests pulled from certain vials to equal 10 tests). Comes with a prepaid postage label. As well as a form to fill out with several questions about your symptoms.The results are definitely lab numbers & a little overwhelming at first glance. Thankfully, they do put where your numbers fall on a chart of Low, Normal & High. And they give you a written summary at the end & their recommendations (ie. Progesterone to Estradiol ratio & reported symptoms are consistent with estrogen dominance. Supplementation with topical progesterone to correct this relative deficiency is a consideration).Overall, I'm impressed & completely satisfied!! I found out my adrenals were shot (make barely any cortisol all day), have super low progesterone & possibly PCOS. I took the results into an obgyn to hear her thoughts & decided to go the natural progesterone route & supplements to nourish my adrenals. As well as nutrition (paleo) & exercising everyday. I found a ton of help on progesteronetherapy dot com!The paperwork says this test is issued by Labrix Clinic in Oregon under physician Jay H Mead DDS, FASC. He's the author of a book about bio identical hormones. This is a hormone test and the results of that test. Saliva testing is reported to be very accurate. I chose this one to provide me with the maximum range of testing. You will have to spit into a tiny tube 4 EXACT times per day. (difficult is memory loss is a symptom :) Then mail it in ASAP and you gets results in the mail. The results its 1 piece of paper that lists your charged hormone levels and where they are in comparison to "normal" levels. It includes some suggested treatments but you will have no clue how to treat yourself unless you have done in depth research and/or discussed results with your Doc. I took the results to my Doc and we came up with a plan that worked for me. Also helpd to take results to natural health stores/practitioners ( my chiropractor). Who have extensive knowledge about hormone therapies. Overall, this test provided exactly what I needed. I had no doubt of a hormone issue after 2 kids, and finding treatment to help was WELL WORTH the cost.
