55 is a product ID not the number of rail joiners in the package.
Buyer beware: The 55 in the title of this product is a product number and not the count of rail joiners you will receive per package. The actual count per package is 24. That being said, these are exactly what they are supposed to be and do just what they should. I use Code 100 track and these slid on tightly without issue and provided exactly what I needed.
