Color is a balance between warm white and cool white, just right for the living room. The light pattern was wide enough for me, at least 180 degrees upward which was great for my lamp stand. The light was directed more upwards and generated more diffuse lighting for the room. Another tip, I use these bulbs as a low cost replacement for bulbs in my recessed lighting fixtures too as the light then mainly shines downward, less wasted light. With a UL or ETL safety rating and less than 9 bucks, I would definitely buy more bulbs from them again.
