Does the pendulum points at charts with the numbers? Do I need to formulate the question 1 to 10 times about the same issue or subject until a get an affirmative answer? They should've included a couple of lines explaining a little more in depth for those newbies in dowsing.Reviewed on 01-05-2014 : After getting a reply to this post from the writers of this book I am changing my rating to a VERY GOOD and 4 STARS- My comment prompted for a future update of the book where at the very beginning it will indicate that the 1 to 10 scale system and how to use is located in the appendix section of the book. I stopped reading it half way through so I did not even get to this appendix section; in reality the explanation was always there it is just that would've been nicer if the reader (especially those new to dowsing) would've known before hand to avoid confusion. In dealing with the subconscious mind (which actually does the dowsing), how you frame the question equally important as to exactly what you are asking.Maggie and Nigel Percy have put together a "bible" of questioning techniques that are essential to getting the job done, because they lay out, in everyday language, exactly how to word the question. Most of the time, most of us are not cognizant on exactly what the words we are using really mean. The subconscious mind can be very confused as to what the conscious mind is really asking for. Maggie and Nigel are experts at word usage, question framing, and of course, dowsing. This book sums it up so well that I recommend it to all my students and anyone else who inquires. This book takes the guesswork out of whether or not the question is the best it can be by providing guidelines of what should be included starting with making the dowser ask themselves what is the goal of the question...what is it they are really trying to find out/ask. Having determined the goal brings clarity to the remaining information as one answers the who, when, where, how, why, and what. Another aspect of this book that I like is that it is concise.
