Now, while there is a charging issue, our initial speaker lasted a year and only cost us $30, so it wasn't a big deal for us. At its current cost of $10 it's an amazing deal. We currently own the Amazon Bluetooth large speaker and while it is louder, it isn't as "relatively louder" as the size would dictate, and the sound quality out of this little Bem is actually better IMO with less sound disturbance as it gets to louder volumes. We took our original with us overseas and had it playing background music at parties of up to 10 people, and it worked very well to give quality background noise. Many people questioned where we got it and were looking it up online at the parties; the quality is that good. We purchased this for my parents to use with their new smart phones, in order to get used to Bluetooth, and they have been enjoying it as it is an easy pair and my dad uses it to listen to the radio on TuneIn.Now, while I believe some people have had the charger give out almost right away, that was not our experience, hence the four star review. That being said, even if you get a couple of months of high quality out of this speaker it is worth the $10 IMO. ### ⭐⭐⭐ ... bem speaker for over a year that I really liked, (from a retail store) *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2016* I've had a black bem speaker for over a year that I really liked, (from a retail store), but the charging port/USB connection finally broke so I ordered 2 of these blue ones from you hoping to be better, but was worse ... when connecting charging port/USB plug for charging the speaker into the speaker, it is a very tight fit and I cannot disconnect the cord without damaging the unit. That seems to be the common problem I've read in the comments, so that is my main dissatisfying issue so far with this. I am hoping that if I don't disconnect the charging cord the charging port/USB connection won't break from inside the speaker. The sound is not very loud! The bass on it is amazing, sound quality is great for the price and the color options are great. After purchasing one, my co-workers wanted me to order them one also. I've now ordered 4 of them.So far the battery seems to never run out after hours of use but I charge it right before I put it away. The rubbery grip on the bottom keeps it from bouncing away with all the bass it produces.
