Solid grater with storage *by M***N on August 11, 2013* If you want something to grate parmesan cheese, then store it in the refrigerator, look no further. We have tried a few of these, but others were flimsy, didn't provide enough leverage to grade easily, or didn't provide suitable storage. This one met all expectations.There are two grating wheels for varying the fineness of what you grate. The non-used one stores in the bottom lid, which is convenient. The handle is easy to turn and grate. The whole thing comes apart and cleans very easily.No complaints! ### ⭐ Loved it while it lasted *by V***K on June 2, 2013* This is my second Microplane cheese mill. I had the first one for a couple of years, until it wouldn't hold the shredding blade in place anymore while turning. So, I replaced it with this newer model in Dec 2012. It fell apart a couple of weeks ago. The problem seems to be that the tube that holds the sharp blade in place is plastic, and has little plastic teeth that fit into little grooves in the sharp metal plate. As you use the mill, the blade digs into the little plastic teeth, and wear them down. Once the teeth are sufficiently worn down, the blade is no longer in a static position, and as you turn the body to shred the cheese, the blade turns too, and is unable to shred the cheese. They need to make the tube out of metal so the teeth won't wear down. I'm sad this unit only lasted a few months, had it lasted a few years like the previous model I would replace it.
