When ordering multiples of the same item, we expected the quality to be consistent as we didn't see it stated anywhere that it wouldn't. We were told that it's made of recycled rubber and the density can fluctuate but it doesn't alter the properties of the item. I guess we just feel differently. I cut two pieces off of it to mount my 12v inverter above the floor of my car using industrial velcro glued to the carpet and the pads pieces. I live in New England and snow gets tracked into the car. so getting the electrical devices off the floor is important.The rest is still useful when I am kneeling beside my car to put in new speakers or working on the electrical system under the dash. Not breaking down a bit even in the summer on the hot asphalt.Smelled bad for a couple of weeks.
