What struck me the most about this book was the language used by the author. It was so much more learned and erudite than most dumbed down works of today. People back then, over 100 years ago, were infinitely more educated versus the indoctrination they receive today. He also used more than a smattering of Latin phrases which was fine for me given my foreign language background in Spanish. What I enjoyed most was that, while I mostly disagreed with his position, I found that he argued it brilliantly! I actually enjoyed the cognitive dissonance due to his intellectual abilities.
