**Q: Is this a leather saddle?**
A: The seat material is synthetic but very much like leather, as well as lighter and more comfortable with no break-in needed.

**Q: how long are the rails?**
A: The straight portion of the rail is 72mm long.

**Q: How is the padding?**
A: To most beginner cyclists, the padding in SSM ASPIDE (not ASPICE!) may seem rather thin.  I have ridden seriously for around 25 years up to 200 miles per week, usually with Selle San Marco, upgrading each time they brought out a new model. The ASPIDE is the best saddle I have ever used and have it on all four of my bikes - from steel to carbon rails and shell.  A good bike fit is critical, but once you have that, the ASPIDE firmly supports where needed and protects your other bits!  I recommend this saddle highly!
