I added aΒ  Inateck PCI-E to USB 3.0 2-Port PCI Express Card with Internal USB 3.0 20-PIN Connector , but the small format case would only accommodate a low-profile PC slot cover plate, which provided only two of the possible 4 USB 3.0 ports. The Raysun Dual Port USB 3.0 adapter allowed me to use the other two ports on the card, accessed via a 20-pin USB 3.0 hub connector. It allowed me to connect twoΒ  Cable Matters 2 Pack, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Type A to Micro-B Cable in Black 3 Feet Β to the female USB 3.0 adapter ends, then run these out of a small opening in the back of the case (secured in place with cable ties), to provide two USB 3.0 flying lead connectors that reach to the front of my PC. I can connect my external USB 3.0 hard drives via these cables, keeping the two USB 3.0 ports on the PC back panel free for other uses.The Raysun Dual Port USB 3.0 adapter that I received is well-made and appears to be high quality. Both the 20-pin USB 3.0 hub connector and the two female USB 3.0 sockets are neatly molded, with good-quality cables providing a robust connection between the two ends. It measures around 10.5 inches from end to end (including the adapter ends). This meant that it would - just - reach from the 20-pin USB connector at the back of the PCI Express card to the front of my 16" deep PC case (if I had bought it for that purpose). If I had a typical mini-tower case, this adapter would probably have needed an extension cable to reach to the front panel.When I tested the performance of the USB 3.0 connections via the adapter, using CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 x64 under Windows 7, they were easily as good or better than the two back-panel USB 3.0 ports provided by the PCI Express card directly. I was achieving 70-80 MB/S USB3.0 Sequential Read, 1000MB, and 60-75 MB/s USB3.0 Sequential Write, 1000MB - even with 40% disk occupancy on both drives. So I am a happy bunny and confident that this adapter does its job well! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as expected *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2021* Somehow managed to short out my previous cord. I stripped part of the casing off the input socket to fit snuggly into computer.
