The bag appears to have well in excess of 100 husks per bag so I have at least 200 that will last for multiple attempts at making Tamales. The first batch came out OK, just a little blander than our tastes dictate. But that was nothing a little enchilada sauce could ot fix immediately. I do know that I made around 75 tamales and only used about 1/3 of the bag. The 1lb bag is about 5 inches high. As you know, some times you use 2 husks depending on the size to make your tamale. However, I have now found some that are equivalent in the grocery section of a local Mexican store and the same costs me $3.50! I get a lot of dolls out of one pace, so seriously if I did not live near a Mexican grocer, I would gladly pay the price here. They dye very well, so I color entire packs at a time to be ready to craft. Soaking is water with a bit of glycerin makes them easy to handle.
