The hospital scenes have little to do with medicine and focus on practical procedures such as bathing an obese patient and cleaning false teeth and returning the wrong sets to the patients. The nurses and other staff have a surprising amount of time for each other as they are either having chats in a store/utility room or agreeing to dates with people including management. At home the nurses are either getting ready to go on a night out or standing at the foot of the stairs listening to one of the girls having noisy sex and trying to work out which singer she sounds like. As the series progresses the nurses backgrounds are revealed, Such as Anji who is due to be married but insists on dating and sleeping with other men until that day. Lia is divorced and a mother to a tweenage daughter. I brought this DVD as I liked watching it when it was on TV but I did not manage to watch all the episodes back then. Granted it wont be everybody's cup of tea as it contains strong language, inappropriate behaviour etc etc. Personally I love it. I work in a hospital and totally 'get' it.
