Creative Sound BlasterX H6 7.1 USB Gaming Headset for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC (Black)

So I needed a headset for a job I had taken working from home. After doing a lot of research I came over this set. Now, I don't have a ton of experience with gmaing headsets. I previously owned a Turtlebeach set some years ago and while it was fine and sounded great, it honestly wasn't very comfortable and I ended up giving to my niece. How far things have come since then! Firstly I love that the ear pads aren't some nasty, sweaty pleather but rather light, breathable mesh. Secondly they are so light! Despite having LED lighting and an array of feature controls in one ear cup I barely know I have them on. I wear glasses and quite often a baseball cap and with the temporary job I have, I have to wear these for 8 hours a day with only a half hour lunch break in between and honestly I barely know I've had them on - which is just incredible. They cover your entire ear and perch gently on top of your head with no overt side to side pressure or downward pressure from the headband. I've usually always worn earbuds because of my glasses, over-ear headsets usually end up pushing the arms into the side of my head and hurting after a while. Not these puppies! Now as far as sound quality goes - to me, they sound great. Really deep and rich and bassy. But I'm no audophile. I'm sure someone with a set of Bowers and Wilkins, Bose or Beyerdynamics would have something to say about their sound quality, but for a rube like me they seem great. I've started playing Valorant and with the software you can really tune them to bring out those all-important footstep sounds. Mic quality is spot on, I'm not going to overstate it and say it's far beyond anything you'd expect but sits perfectly adequately at this price point. None of the people I speak to during my job have ever complained at not being able to hear me and none of my team mates in CS:GO, Apex, Valorant, COD: WZ or chats in Discord, Skype or WhattsApp have ever complained about a sound issue. As a bonus feature, the mic is removable. The LED's in the ear cups aren't the brightest, my mouse and keyboard LED's are much brighter, but c'mon... it's a set of headphones. The colour selection is incredible, though. Full RGB so whatever your set up theme is, you can get your ear cups to match which is a nice touch. Not sure I really like the micro USB connection - can we puuuhhllleeaaazzzzeee start getting USB-C?! It's a much more solid and reliable connection. Build quality feels really nice, metal and high quality plastics that are matted so they aren't finger print magnets. Seem like they'll last a good while. The buttons have a reassuring tactile feel. The only weak spot I worry about is the USB connector, I feel like if they fell and landed on that, you could end up with a redundant headset.... well.... almost.... it does have a TRRS 3.5mm jack connector so you can use them with your phone or whatever, but then you don't get the lighting or software enhancements. At least they have the option for that if the worst happened. Do I recommend? Well, if you need a headset and have about 60 quid spare then I struggle to think of a better set you can get. It's really down to you and your budget, yes there are cheaper options and yes there are more expensive options but if I had to make the purchase again I would definitely and without hesitation be looking to get another set of these because between the comfort, mic clarity and sound quality they make a very compelling package at a highly affordable price. In my opinion, Creative knocked it out of the park with these and as the OG's in PC audio, you can safely assume they knew what they were doing when they put them together.

Been using this headset for over a year now, so have a fairly good handle on it. As a gaming headset, I'd wanted something that had decent enough sound quality but was comfortable enough to wear for a long session. There's plenty of padding on the ears so, whilst the headset as a whole is chunky, it's comfortable for hours of uninterrupted use. It was originally intended for weekend use only but, following lockdown, ended up being used for hours every day and still remains comfortable. Surround sound quality is exceptional, whether for gaming or listening to music. The mic is slightly sensitive but easily mitigated by the flexibility to move it away from your mouth. Two negatives for me: 1) The supplied USB cable is rubbish - it was regularly losing connection on calls when I shifted in my seat, which is a pain at work, and such a stupid thing to cut corners on in a £65 headset - a replacement braided cable from China cost £2 and provides a far more stable headset. 2) The mute button doesn't light up on the headset. There's an audible one beep off, two beeps on mute setting on the headset, but the number of times (I can only assume that) I've knocked the mute button whilst picking it up to answer the phone and then launched into a conversation to be followed with "Hello? Hello?" beggars belief. Just stick an LED behind the mute button so that you can see if it's on and it'd be so much simpler. That said, one of those is easily fixed and the other doesn't change that the headset more than meets expectations for what it was bought for.

GOOD THINGS: 1. Windows 10 installed it in seconds. 2. When connected, other sound outputs (external speakers) are automatically switched off (USB only). 3. Light weight, well balanced. 4. Comfy and secure fitting, dense memory foam. 5. Good quality sound - crisp and bassy. 6. The mic now has a removable foam pop filter (but this is not shown on the box or explained in the instructions). 7. The Volume control wheel adjusts Windows output volume (USB only). 8. It has both USB and 3.5mm analog jack connections. :) 9. The EQ button makes a small difference (EQ presets: gaming is less bassy, movies and music are more bassy. NIGGLY THINGS: 1. The hard plastic USB cable (if tapped) resonates and amplifies as knocking sounds to the left earcup. A braided or corded USB cable would have reduced this. 2. The mic is low output by default. This can be boosted to 80-100% via Windows Settings > Sound > Input > Device properties; or by using the Creative Connect software. 3. The Ambient Monitor button just turns off the sound input and lets you hear the mic input. Any normal person would simply lift the headset off, rather then fumbling around for a button to do this. 4. You have to install additional Creative Connect bloatware to re-configure it (e.g. change the colour of the LED from red to something else, or change the EQ settings).

The box was badly damaged but the inside was untouched. Exactly as stated in the description. 1/4 the price for a brand new, quality headphone

Things started out great , the sound quality when used with music and movies is great , but when trying to use with 3rd party voice chat software and gaming at the same time you get sound lag , glitches and then lose sound on either your game or voice chat , if i paid full price i would be asking for a refund and be more weary buying creative hardware again , very disappointed

The earphone mounted controls are great, no more flapping around finding a control on the cable. My problem with these stems from my struggle to get them working on an Intel PC with MSI Mobo and four other usb Devices (webcam, keyboard, mouse, usb 2-port KVM) on Win10. The headset connected by usb uses up the usb controller endpoints, but how many it uses they don't state anywhere... Also, in Fortnite (the only game my son plays on oc with these) the mic keeps cutting out. Logitech usb headphones work fine in comparison. Maybe I'm just frustrated after 3 days of trying to get these working properly, but I don't feel that there's support from creative in terms of engineering guidance on this stuff. Maybe I'll figure it out soon. Update August 2020: Never did get the USB connection wirking well. friends complained my voice would sound bad. Incomparison, logitech usb headset works perfectly. so, used anslogue connevtion instead, but now the muc has broken (never dropped, not tough, never even moved it) do i've had enough, and will return it.

The H6 is a very impressive looking headset, when putting them on you get a feel that these are well built. The metal reinforced headband and quality memory foam fabric covered ear cups make them fit your head perfectly and snugly. There is not too much pressure on the ears which means your long gaming sessions are more pleasurable with no sweating (major plus in my view). The audio that comes through these headsets is very clear while the microphone works well, providing clear communication I would recommend this headset if you are not looking at spending major money, at the price they are they are well worth it at that price.

It's okay, but it's a cheap gaming headset. Returned it because it sounded worse than the H7s I was trying to replace. Sound Blaster's audio effects software is good, but if you want that, just get a Sound Blaster card.

Delivery:Packaging was good and delivered on the right time... Pros: 1. bass is perfect....not too much,not too less....just the right amount.... awesome 2.very comfortable,the ear cups are so good.. 3.software is really good....easy to understand....u can customize and create new profiles for all your games... 4.scout mode is really cool for games..... 5.listening to music is so good in this headphones....the best thing about this headphones is that it is awesome for moviea,music and games.... 6. Removing and connecting earcups is so easy 7.monitor button is useful(if u press monitor button u can hear ur surrounding voice through headphones without having to remove headphones)...but this feature works only with usb cable so if u r listening in phone, monitor button won't work 8.can wear for a lot of time continuously (8+ hrs)... Cons: 1.its huge(but lightweight) 2.people very near to you can hear the song just enough to start singing along 3.most of the features/customization are only when you use usb cable....even the buttons on the headphones work only when you plug usb cable....but even when using 3.5mm Jack ...bass is perfect 4.cant fold headphones.. Conclusion:it's definitely worth it if u want gaming headphones that you also want to use for listening to music and movies.....it does well with everything that I just have to give it a 5.... definitely recommended... Provenendo da cuffie economiche il boost qualitativo è stato notevole. Nonostante ciò, c'è da dire che le cuffie sono estremamente comode: io non porto occhiali, ma credo siano ugualmente comode vista l'imbottitura e la non eccessiva pressione che esercitano ai lati del viso. La comodità è garantita dall'imbottitura in tessuto dei padiglioni ed in generale di tutte le parti a contatto col corpo questa peculiarità le rende adatte anche nei periodi caldi, inoltre le finiture in simil pelle sono ottime e rendono queste cuffie anche belle da vedere. Gli immancabili led personalizzabili danno a queste cuffie quel pizzico di tamarro a cui ogni gamer non riesce a rinunciare. Concluso il capitolo stile ed ergonomia, spendo due parole sulle funzionalità tecniche che più mi hanno colpito e che poi sono quelle che più utilizzo. Premesso che uso queste cuffie solo in ambito gaming ed in modalità USB proprio per sfruttare tutta la potenza dell'audio 7.1, il controllo audio sul lato sinistro ed il pulsante per abilitare l'equalizzazione sono comodi e ben posizionati, così come facilmente accessibile risulta essere il tasto per la disabilitazione del microfono. Proprio il microfono risulta essere un po scomodo vista la sua estrema rigidità nel movimento. Va detto, però, che se non lo utilizzate (o lo usate poco) può essere facilmente rimosso. Altra nota stonata è la presenza di un utilissimo microfono ambientale che vi garantisce la possibilità di ottenere il suono che vi circonda in modo da capire cosa accade anche quando indossate queste cuffie altamente insonorizzanti, se non fosse che tale bottone (posizionato sempre sul lato sinistro) non sia comodo da raggiungere e non sia semplice da distinguere rispetto gli altri bottoni presenti (insomma bene ma non benissimo). Per il resto consiglio queste cuffie per tutti i gamer che, pur volendo contenere l'investimento, vogliono disporre di una buona qualità audio.

C'est un casque d'excellente qualité, pour le prix. Pour la connectique de ce casque: même si il fonctionne en numérique via le port USB, on peut le connecter via prise jack 3.5mm standard, la connectique lui permet d'être utilisé sur PC, Xbox One, PS4 et Nintendo Switch, les câbles fournis sont d’une longueur correcte (2m en USB et 1.5m en jack) . les deux câbles sont amovibles. Je l'utilise en FPS sur BF5 principalement, c'est vraiment intéressant ce 7.1 virtuel, car on entend bien les sons, surtout de la direction qu'ils viennent, cela évite de se surprendre par un adversaire. J'apprécie également la qualité des mousses, elles ne sont pas recouvertes d'un simili cuir, mais d'un genre de tissu alvéolé, très agréable. Avec un diamètre 50mm la qualité des basses sont très bonnes. Sur la partie gauche, il y le réglage du volume, un bouton pour le monitoring, un pour l'égaliseur, un autre pour couper le micro, avec une petite led rouge en bout du micro: Rouge il est arrêté, éteint le micro est en fonction. Le micro est amovible, pour utiliser le casque en autonomie. L'installation du logiciel, permet d'affiner les réglages selon ses envies. J'ai enlevé un étoile pour le confort, je n'ai pas réussi à trouver un casque, même dans du haut de gamme, qui ne me fasse pas mal aux oreilles au bout d'une heure. C'est un achat que je conseille vraiment, rien à voir avec d'autres marques dans ces prix là, il est vraiment top !!

He adquirido estos cascos recientemente en reemplazo, de unos logitech G432, estuve comparando las caracteristicas, de estos sound blaster H6 los he probado utilizando el software es cómodo y facil de utilizar, como actualmente tengo la targeta de audio soud blaster AE7 estoy utilizando los cascos con esta targeta de audio con el cable jack 3.5 de cuatro polos, en vez de usar el cable usb, que también es fantástico por las funciones que tiene control RGB y el micrófono exterior para escuchar si alguien te llama o suena el timbre y decir que me ha sorprendido la calidad y detalles del sonido, tanto en música como en juegos el sonido en juegos es total y altamente inmercibo en la calidad y detalles, te das cuenta de donde proviene los pasos, cada detalle mínimo del sonido y te permite reaccionar rápidamente en los juegos, el micrófono tiene un sonido exelente y nitido se escucha perfectamente, tiene un pequeño filtro antipop y eso ayuda mucho al usar el micro, los bajos son fantásticos, el surround igual de fantástico, el sonido es súper realista, e inmersivo, la música se escucha igual de fantástica, aunque también depende del formato y la calidad de la mismas, si necesitará otros cascos, los volveria a comprar, estéticamente son muy llamativos y elegantes y sobre todo muy cómodos, se me ajustan perfectamente al ponérmelos, son livianos y casí ni se notan. Altamente recomendables.
