They sent me a replacement that arrived within a few days and that replacement has been performing properly since I received it. I am upgrading my review to 5 stars. I of course understand that occasionally products may be shipped with a defect. When considering products to buy online, more important than any rare defect, is a companies demonstrated history of good customer service. This company resolved my issue rapidly which makes me comfortable purchasing from them in the future. As such I now recommend this pipette. I was using it to measure liquid extracts for adding to recipes, but even for that purpose I feel it is unsuited. I tested it when I got it and it accurately dispensed 5ml. NOW when I choose the 5ml setting it dispenses 6ml. When I select 4ml it dispenses 4.8ml. That is 20% EXTRA. An eye dropper style squeeze pipette is more accurate because at least it has volume measuring lines on the tube. The frustrating part is my desertcart return window literally closed two days ago.
