Review: Great product! - Great product! Works well!
Review: 6 years, Still Going Strong 24/7 in a Studio - This is my second PreSonus, but first of this model. I purchased it for $170 in Feb 2020. This is my main audio interface for my studio PC. This PC (and the PreSonus) are powered on 24/7, with proper UPS and surge protection (a surge is what took my earlier PreSonus model out). I am in this studio about 8-12 hours every day, using this PC for everything. This interface has never ever failed me. Everything is crisp and clean. Response is fine. Gain levels are fine, with most knobs left near the middle and things gain-matched elsewhere. My 80ohm headphones are run through a separate pre-amp. I do not use the software, so cannot speak to that. This studio PC is an i9-9900k homemade open-air rig running Windows 10 Pro with all USB routed and grounded properly. I would guess that many of the critical reviews are from bedroom hobby "producers" who do not know how to set things up properly in a studio. I work mostly on the MPC platform, but went through a bout of GAS and have many smaller synths, and a few larger, mostly used for sound design. All routed through a Zoom L-8, then through an Analog Heat mkII, then into the PreSonus via balanced XLR (left on 1, right on 2). From there, out to a 24-channel rack mixer, compressor/limiter, exciter, etc. I have just under 50 tracks released on several platforms. Granted, I specialize in lo-fi BoomBap and TripHop, but have a few Jungle DnB and Liquid Dubstep tracks released. All sound amazing. (Or, when they do not, it's definitely not this interface's fault.) I have returned, in 2026, to buy another as a spare, only because I am afraid PreSonus will eventually stop making this wonderful workhorse of a model, and I am not seeing much better available out there, honestly. Please, PreSonus... you've made the perfect interface, here. Keep just making this. Don't even tweak it. <3

## Questions & Answers

**Q: how stable are the asio drivers, latency, etc?**
A: I have found the ASIO driver to be very stable. After the initial setup and a few tweaks of parameters I haven't had any issues with instability or fluctuations in latency or other metrics. I have been using the 62c for almost 2 months with no issues at all. Very nice unit.

**Q: The 24c headphone amp could not drive my 250 ohm dt770s. will any of them actually drive them well? i am considering the 26c or 68c.**
A: Hi, The 24c is bus powered, the specs say 83 dB dynamic range on headphone output 47 mW per channel. The 68c is 107 dB and 150mW per channel. The 26c is 104 dB but only 30 mW per channel (which admittedly is a little odd.) We hope this helps!

**Q: On the studio 68c would i use both channels for a left and right with a sm7b or is there a mono option on 1st input? pushes all other usb audio 192hz?**
A: Yes

**Q: Which of the Studio models, if any, can actually drive 250 ohm headphones? The 24c, sadly, did not.**
A: Not sure you are going to find a USB interface that will work those. Those are a very narrow use case style of headphones. I know that are marginally better for listening due to the damping effect.
However, for recording and mixing a better choose would be a reference (flat EQ) design like the Sony MDRV6 headphones.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Meet the new Audio Interface (26c)...
*by C***O on April 6, 2026*

... almost the same as the 24c version. The Amazon display may be incorrect, since I think the 24C versions were retired and the 26C versions have taken over. The interface is slightly cleaner; inputs and outputs are familiar; setup is easy; and latency is great. I use this on PC/Windows, so I can't comment on other platforms. Recommended for Windows.
