**Q: Approx how long does it take to charge a dead flat car battery with this charger?**
A: Depending on the type of battery, capacity, level of discharge & sulfation, the full cycle may span 2-36 hours.  The full cycle includes cell recovery, charging, cell balancing, and a follow-up test cycle.  In practice, I've personally seen a range of 12-18 hours average for a discharged car battery, depending on the battery's amp/hour capacity.

Stopped working shortly after purchase- gets "stuck" or "freezes" while charging, says it is still charging but stops supplying current before battery is charged and continues to indicate that it is charging after battery is disconnected. Tecmate hasn't responded to several requests for support/warranty. Very disappointing; I have several Tecmate charges (other models) for many years now with no issues, but the Optimate7 is junk and Tecmate's (lack of) support has me looking to purchase something similar from a different company.
