Approx how long does it take to charge a dead flat car battery with this charger?

Depending on the type of battery, capacity, level of discharge & sulfation, the full cycle may span 2-36 hours. The full cycle includes cell recovery, charging, cell balancing, and a follow-up test cycle. In practice, I've personally seen a range of 12-18 hours average for a discharged car battery, depending on the battery's amp/hour capacity.
