I made the mistake of pairing my Avantree AS90C headphones to a cheap Chinese designed blue tooth transmitter to attach primarily for my TV . It connected ok but the performance was poor . I am blown away by the change of connecting the phones to this TC417 . It is an unobtrusive 6cm square box. Maybe it would be nice to have screen confirming what is connected to it but really the LEDS confirm the connection . I can only think it's because this transmitter has the correct CODEC to optimise the headphones the sound is great now . Of course it is portable and I can also plug into other TVs and my desktop PC none of which support Blue Tooth . Just a matter of using a 3.5mm connectors supplied . Also cables are supplied to connect an amplifier for example to use the TC417 as a receiver too . I had one already but it can't harm . This allows you to connect an analogue amp and send blue tooth files say from your phone or MP3 player if these still exist . For £30 it is a great investment and I should have realised the cheap is as cheap does of the " Elegant " was a false saving . very minimalist but that's what I wanted . It is a more recent Blue Tooth edition 5 the headphones are 4 series but work fine as it is backwards compatible . series 5 headphones maybe even better . Hopefully the TC417 will last , the only thing I don't like is the mini USB connection for the charger . I would prefer a USB - C connection . this is not the end of the world but unusual in 2024 . Rather than charging on a computer you can use low amp phone charger . I happen to have a Samsung Tablet charger . It is not advised to charge it on the TV while connected to headphones as it will cause feedback and noise on the transmitter . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tv Bluetooth *by A***R on 3 May 2024* Good instruction on how to set up ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good unit, can recommend. *by J***9 on 11 January 2021* Works well. I bought this to use wireless headphones on my tv as I need the volume louder than my wife does. My tv has red and white audio output sockets corresponding to the audio cable/plugs supplied with the unit.Side switches in AUX and TX for this mode.Red led goes out when charged.I had a problem setting up pairing until I realised that the whole of the top plate forms a 3-way push control, ie for pairing you press the word “pair” and not the bottom of the central button.When I had a problem pairing the headphones and the unit, I solved that by reference to Item 7 of instructors, ‘Clear pairing history’ and using ‘Pair’ button as above.I’ve watched tv and had noticed no problems with latency.My inexpensive wireless headphones have volume control buttons. I can have the tv at zero volume through its own speaker and I can set the volume I need in the headphones so only I hear the tv.
