You will destroy the thin poly polarizers ... *by M***. on November 24, 2014* If you dare to do this repair and you're a novice, don't. The repair is hard as heck. Its really an advanced repair. Maybe one of the most difficult ones I've ever done. But if you're brave and you are willing to risk even more damage, then this is a good replacement screen. You will destroy the thin poly polarizers unless this is the 10th one you've done. Get over that and don't use them. It does create a small shadow and a few harsh lights at the bottom of the screen but its not really noticeable if you keep the dock visible and the good news is your computer is back functioning. If you're a graphic artist and need every inch of the screen to be perfect, forget this and have it professionally repaired or connect an external monitor and get a new laptop. If you do it, get a real heat gun and go really slowly. Pry the bezel apart very carefully with a firm but dull edged blade. I used a firm spackle blade and never went in more than 8 to 10mm. I put tape on the blade so i would know where to stop. Of course it slipped a few times and thats what damaged the poly polarizer sheet. Take your time. Don't forget the 5mm double sided tape. Thats required to adhere the bezel back to the the laptop screen top housing. Finally, there is a black rubber band, aka gasket around the edge of the bezel. Don't break it. You need it and they are simply not available for replacement. Again, just go slow and be very careful. ### ⭐ Make sure this is the right part number *by M***T on January 4, 2018* The Apple store says this screen is not the right one for my laptop. You need display part #661-6630. Wasted nearly a month getting part here then the holidays waiting on the Apple store to tell me this is wrong part although I have an 'APPLE MACBOOK AIR 13 MODEL A1466'. ### ⭐⭐ Not happy *by M***. on March 16, 2016* I'm sorry, but It was a defected.
