Spring and summer means many colorful hanging baskets as well as hummingbird feeders. Each and every year, we seemed to buy new, different shepherd's hooks. Most turned out too fragile once the hanging baskets were hanging and / or watered. Every year it seemed like a balancing act. We ordered two (2) Hang Tuff Hangers, which arrived today. In perfect shape. Impatient and excited, we installed both virtually on arrival. We weren't disappointed. The hangers are easy to install and amazingly solid. After following the simple and clear instructions, we had two (2) perfectly straight, solidly anchored hangers with colorful flower baskets and hummingbird feeders dangling. Moreover, the Hang Tuff Hangers are aesthetically pleasing. All in all we’re delighted and would recommend these without hesitation. The price is a consideration and indeed considerably higher than most shepherd’s hooks of similar size. However, the quality of the Hang Tuff Hangers as well as the possibility to easily adapt and maintain a perfectly straight hanger post easily puts the price in perspective. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the stability is based on three large bolts holding this very heavy pole upright--much like a Christmas tree stand works *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2016* This is definitely heavy duty! only thing that was interesting is that you sink this enormous stake into the nearly a foot into the ground but the pole only extends about 4 inches into this stake. In spite of the huge stake, the stability is based on three large bolts holding this very heavy pole upright--much like a Christmas tree stand works. It seems sturdy but I am surprised they did not sink the pole deeper into the stake. ### ⭐ Doesn’t work . *by U***T on Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2019* Great idea, but can’t adjust flow to like one drop per minute. If the flow is fast they work fine but you can’t depend that it will water the plants for one week definitely not two. The flow rate has to be aggressive or it stops working. Amazon gave me my money back. The trial period is short- too short and then you can’t return it. Most reviews on this product are NOT about the water drip system- they are about plant hooks. Check it out for yourself. I mentioned this to Amazon and they will look into this I hope. Not happy at all.
