I tried these on a Saturday morning. At first he fought having the sensor (what we call his "belt") on his diaper and kept pulling it off, but eventually he got bored with that and kept it on. Every time it went off we got excited and ran to the potty and he got a sticker for his sticker chart. By Saturday afternoon he was telling me when he had to go before the alarm went off. Same thing for Sunday except on Sunday we still had issues with pooping in the potty and since this doesn't alert you to when there is just poop these diapers don't really help with that, so I started making him do his pooping in the bathroom, even if it was still in his diaper, which he was ok with. By Monday, still telling us when he had to go before the alarm, and also did attempt to poop in the potty. He was still wearing normal diapers at night though and waking up wet.Then he went to preschool a couple days that week and I sent him in training pants. He got upset/shy about using the potty there so we went backwards. So once again I tried the diapers and he went right back to telling us when he had to go. So we are now going on the beginning of week 3 (I bought the refills) where at home we use the alarm diapers and he tells us when he has to go and he uses the potty for pee, and still poops in his diaper mostly but does it in the bathroom. At preschool he wears training pants but his teachers say he has been doing better using the diapers.So I would say they work but....at least for us they don't immediately create a fully potty-trained child. And I don't see how that could happen unless he was home all day every day, because it seems when we go out for the day or he goes to preschool he stops telling us when he needs to go before he actually goes. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Take it or leave it *by D***6 on Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2013* I was really excited to try these! I thought they sounded like an awesome idea.They DO work. they function exactly how they are designed to. And I do think they create an association between the urge to go and the potty.Things I liked:The music is not too loudIt plays for a decent amount of time, so if you're not right there-you don't miss it.I like that you can buy refills (althought we are not purchasing refills)It lets ME know instantly that he(or she) went, and not just the child.I think this item is useful. But not a "must have". I think potty training could be just as effective with just training pants.Things I did not like:The sensor/music box seems to be in an unconvenient place. It sat right where the waste band of my LO's pants sits. at times was uncomfortable for my son.The sensor was easily removed so my son, in the beginning kept removing the sensor. and at one time it was misplaced for a few hours until I found it under the couch.You go through diapers like there's no tomorrow-because when they're wet, they're done.They should be designed more like pull ups rather than diapers. It makes it more difficult for removing them quickly to get your child on the potty, because your essentially removing a diaper. (which I guess they are labeled "diaper")Novel Idea. But I could take it or leave it. Definitely not a "must have" for potty training. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Consider the size *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2014* I tried to use this diapers with my boy with Severe Developmental Delays who was almost 4 years old. The device promptly makes sounds as it gets wet, but I wasn't sure about its size. Don't people use this with their relatively older ones when they have trouble training their kids to the late years, like 3 or 4? To me, this is a good item with brilliant idea, but the size is too tiny to put my chubby boy in it.Also, I was always too late to pull him to a potty when I hear the sound, so I only repeated letting him release on the diapers without being able to cut it in the middle to use a plastic potty. This can be a very good helper for moms who are always (like, ALWAYS, except when the babies sleep) very close by their babies and are ready to keep working on the potty training a few times an hour for a few days in a row.
